This summer, the Konavle Art Association proudly presents the 20th edition of the Music and Words Festival, one of the most distinctive cultural events in the Konavle region. The festival will take place from June 6 to August 14, 2026, bringing together renowned musicians, performers and artists through a diverse programme hosted at several unique venues across Konavle.

The festival programme combines music, theatre and cultural heritage, while also paying tribute to individuals who have left a lasting mark on Croatian cultural life. Highlights include the opening concert “Light of Tone, Power of Gratitude” dedicated to the memory of Don Miho Demović, a memorial guitar concert honouring Ante Skaramuca, the children’s play “Grga Čvarak”, a performance by the Children’s Choir of St. Nicholas Parish, the theatre production “Luka Modrić: My Game”, and the concert “Hommage à Tino Pattiera” dedicated to the world-renowned tenor from Cavtat.

Over the past two decades, the Music and Words Festival has become an important platform for promoting arts and culture in Konavle while preserving local heritage and fostering artistic exchange. The anniversary edition continues this tradition with a programme designed for audiences of all generations.
