This year’s Advent in Metković promises a rich and diverse program for all ages, running from December 1st to January 5th across multiple locations in the city. The festive season kicks off at King Tomislav Square with the blessing of the Advent wreath and the lighting of the Christmas tree.

• City Park:
  • Ice rink and Christmas stalls open on December 6th, offering delicious treats and extended hours until January 5th.
  • Daily concerts and activities, including performances by Giuliano & Diktatori, Atomsko Sklonište, Klapa ‘Iskon,’ and more.
  • Special events for children, including a visit from St. Nicholas on opening day and a Children’s New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31st at noon.
• City Cultural Center:
  • Traditional Christmas concerts by local ensembles and schools.
  • Max Bruch Trio concert on clarinet, viola, and piano.
  • Hit play “Džabe je najskuplje” and an art exhibition by Neda Šeput.
• King Tomislav Square:
  • Festive decorations with a Christmas tree, nativity scene, and Advent wreath.
  • The traditional “In Anticipation of a Sweet Christmas” fair and dance workshops for children by Dado Čokolada.
