World Tourism Day has been celebrated on September 27 for over four decades, marking the end of the tourist season in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning in the Southern. The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, together with the Tourist Board, is organizing this concert for both locals and visitors.
The concert will feature a rich program including popular classical pieces, film music, and timeless Latin hits. The conductor will be maestro Slobodan Begić, with Dubrovnik trumpeter Džemal Cakić performing as a soloist.
The repertoire includes hits like ABBA songs, the famous tango from Scent of a Woman, and the legendary “Guantanamera.” Audiences will also enjoy music from films such as Titanic, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Avatar.
This beloved event offers a unique opportunity for a free evening of top-quality music. Everyone is invited to join this unforgettable night in front of St. Blaise’s Church.
