Vela setemana is a traditional religious event in Korčula during Holy Week before Easter. The processions on Holy Thursday and Good Friday, led by brotherhoods, are especially important. The “Za križen” procession on Good Friday, with the cross and figures of Jesus and Mary, creates a unique experience of religious devotion.
