The second edition of the Ponta Lopud Book Bridge festival returns to Lopud Island from September 18 to 20, 2025, offering a three-day program dedicated to literature and social issues. The festival will explore the relationship between literature and social controversies such as gentrification.

The program includes poetry and short story readings, traditional Irish singing (Sean Nós), and dramatic performances. Participants include renowned authors such as Wendy Erskine, Ivana Bodrožić, and Lidija Deduš.

A special feature of the festival is a writing competition themed around the Grand Hotel on Lopud, which has a history as both a luxury resort and a site of dark past events. The competition is open to all, with submissions accepted in Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, Serbian, Irish, or English. The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2025.
