Vedran Mezei’s storytelling tour “Dark Times – Bright Souls” in Župa Dubrovačka features themes centered around the life stories of people during infectious disease epidemics in the Dubrovnik area, from the plague to the Spanish flu.

Each Tuesday from June to October, participants are taken on an immersive journey through history, focusing on how individuals and communities faced and overcame the challenges of these devastating periods. Mezei’s narratives are deeply rooted in historical research and local folklore, bringing to life the personal and collective experiences of those who lived through these dark times.
