Moreška, one of the most recognisable symbols of the island of Korčula, has captivated audiences for more than 400 years with its unique blend of history, tradition and theatrical performance. Performed regularly throughout the summer in the town of Korčula, this traditional sword dance is an essential part of the island’s cultural heritage and a must-see experience for every visitor.
The performance tells the story of the battle between the White King and the Black King over the captured maiden Bula.
