Free “Living History” guided tours are once again being held in Orebić every Monday until the end of September 2026. Through a walking tour of the old town, visitors will discover the rich maritime heritage of Orebić, once considered one of the most important maritime centers in this part of the Mediterranean.
The tours are led by experienced tourist guide Lidija Starašinić, who has more than thirty years of guiding experience and introduces visitors to Orebić’s captain’s houses, maritime traditions, and local history through authentic stories and historical insights. Visitors will also learn why a sextant appears on the town’s coat of arms and how Orebić’s captains sailed across the world’s seas.
Tours are available in Croatian, English, and German, with departures every Monday in front of the Municipality of Orebić building.
