Creative platform Ponta Lopud, which encourages the exchange of knowledge and experiences among artists, brings attractive programs for the audience. This year’s cultural and artistic program starts with a three-day summer screening from June 27th to 29th at the unique setting of LaBaja beach, RMH Lafodia Hotel. The evening film screenings will be held in collaboration with Dubrovnik Cinemas.

The daytime program includes educational workshops and film discussions for young filmmakers, conducted by award-winning actors, directors, producers, editors, and screenwriters from Croatia and abroad. These events will take place in various locations such as the Rector’s Palace and the Franciscan Monastery.

The founder of the platform, Tilda Grossel Bogdanović, emphasizes the importance of the coexistence of artists and local residents, highlighting how the tradition, nature, and cultural heritage of Lopud inspire artistic creation.

The summer screenings will symbolically mark the beginning of summer, while the Ponta Lopud Jazz Festival, held from August 29th to 31st, will conclude the summer season. The festival will bring together renowned jazz artists from around the world who will play and jam for all jazz music enthusiasts.

Tilda Grossel Bogdanović points out that thanks to the engagement of the islanders, sponsors, and the Ponta Lopud Club, Lopud continues to build its image as an artistic oasis. She also announces a new international literary event that will further enrich the island’s cultural scene.
